Where can i get a after-market exhaust that it just looks like the stock but it bigger and gives more Hp. and i want it to have deep tone not like a Civic.

well the tone depends on how you do the pipes and what muffler you use. if its aftermarket for the 3000GT, then I have not seen any with quad tips. You could however buy two mufflers the have two tips each, that way you have a "like stock but only bigger and louder" exhaust. checkout what aerospeed and ractive makes. I have two c-f ractive exhausts and they are real deep, nothing like a honda.

Just for your info...It'll cost you more to have it like that than it would setting it up with just duel, but if money isn't an issue...go for it man. I'd like to do the same because I like how our muffler tips come stock.

Question, the two sides of the exhaust are different. Is that true of stock 3kgt exhaust?

I'm not sure, I don't think so.... But I've seen it on quite a few exhaust systems.

Seriously you got your exhaust done for 180 bucks??! (Plus mufflers)

Where? (If you don't mind me asking)

Most any regular exhaust place will do it, like Meineke or Monro or chains like that. If you take it there, someone will do it (off the books). Otherwise, any other small independent muffler shop would do it. I got the same thing done on my last car for $200 plus muffler.

I assume that 3" is 3" and doesn't make a difference as to who makes it, but why do other aftermarket places mark it up so highly. Everyone wants to make a dime and I understand that, but a 300% markup seems a little silly.

Because people will buy it. You're not paying for the product, you're paying for the name, It's not "Cool" to say yeah I've got a meineke exhaust when all your buddys are saying they have an HKS or Greddy or whatever.

It's the same with ALL after market products... especially when it's a big name.

How different is the sound? When I redo my exhaust sometime in the future I don't want it to be overbearing and ricey. Hell, I'd like it to look like I haven't done shit to my car. I'm even tempted to take the vr4 badge off. You'll get more races in my town if you look slower (No one who knows what a vr4 is will race it, the car looks hot enough stock anyways). I hear Borla exhausts sound just awesome, but I don't really know what awesome means considering how subjective of a term it is. Is it ever worth the extra dough to go aftermarket for sound, or does the meineke exhaust sound nice as well (At least not like a civic hopefully)?

you can pretty much get any type of custom exhaust setup and if you want to make it look stock, just put stock tips on, or stock-like tips. That's pretty much the only part you can see to tell the difference... now sound and performance are another thing :)

check this out:

go to page 3 to see how it looks and hear it... if you use a flowmaster it's the best sounding setup out there imo

Every exhaust(well I should say most) will have a different sound and most likely drone at different times. My old $200 exhaust did drone at 80mph, typically aftermarket exhausts drone less, but that is just generally. The aftermarket mark up is somewhat justified in the fact that they are mandrel-bent, and that a bit of designing went into making them flow better, and not drone...custom exhausts done by meineke and such are just bent into place and put on....so you do get a little better of quality with an aftermarket brand, but mostly I agree with Gritmaster, you are buying a name brand product...and they are out to make a profit.
