Right Side Driving

Is it legal to have a car that has the steering wheel on the right side of the car in the USA? Kinda like the first one on 2 fast 2 furious but with an STI though.

Ive seen people with them in CA (rhd) so i'd assume so.

I think that would be awesome!!! I want to have a car that is different from everybody elses. You cant belive how many hondas are out here. We actually have one. But I plan to get a STI hopefully with steering on the right. Race at the drag strip here in town. Kill all the high school kids. What are your times on the quarter mile with a stock STI? With modified cars down here we get about 12-14 second cars.

I have an 02 wrx, its modded and its good for low 13's at the track. A stock STi should run a low 13 no problem.

Yeah, it's legal, but you'll have to either look very hard for an STi with RHD or do the mod yourself (which would be insanely difficult for the amount of cool factor). Driving on the other side of the car is all kinds of weird; the car sticks off the wrong direction. Driving in RHD countries, being on the other side of the street doesn't freak me out. Being on the other side of the car does, though. You're just so used to having the car be a part of you in one particular direction... anyway, if you find one that's street legal (as in, not imported from Asia, Australia, or the UK) let us know.

Street legel or smog legal lol? Just need the smog equipment and its fine. Find a wrecked subaru in a junk yard and pull off all the parts you need.

That would be called fraud.

And could set you up to get arrested for a car theft you never committed, since all the numbers on the car won't match.

A right-side drive for STi would be pretty bad ass, It would be street legal if it was bought in U.S. at least, I'm almost positive. Did you find one? Cuz, thats pretty bad ass. I'd like to try right-side drive once.
