CF Lip

Does anyone have a referal to someone that does custom carbon fiber applications? We need to have a mugen style drag lip made in cf because they are not in production so ya can't get 1 from anywhere.... :disappoin

You can make carbon fiber products?

yeah. carbon, kevlar, fiberglass. I can do any kind of composite.

Is it good quality stuff? I think you should be in business do'n this.

top quality cloth and best resin I can find, cheeper resins turn yellow, ones I use stay completely clear. I make stuff for people around town all the time, but to make a profit with carbon you have to be turning out alot of products to be able to make it as cheep as big companys.

It's a j's racing lip. I think they only make them for the jdm front end but I would like one for my USDM :D

I'm still trying to get pictures from this guy, he is being really slow about it. Anyways I was wondering if you could make a replacement rear quater panel, if not the whole thing (bc we don't really need the whole thing) but just the portion that goes over the fender well that typically rusts out. Now that is something I know a lot of people would pay for.

only way to fix that is to weld a patch panel in, theres companys that sell those.

link me to this site please. all I have found is entire replacement 1/4 panels and they aren't cheap. why couldnt you make a partial fiberglass panel, cut out the metal, and mold on the fg piece? makes sense to me...

my book is in the shop with all the sites for patch panels, I'll try to remember to pick it up tonight if I go out there. I guess I could make some of fiberglass and sell them, wouldnt be much differnt than molding in a body kit. I'd have to find another car for a mold, my rear quarters around the fenderwell have be slightly modified in spots.

I would me interested in a J's style front lip. A hood too.

I will be offering it in a few weeks when I open Deviant Motorsports. Carbon one will run in the neiborhood of $150, and fiberglass one will be around $75.
