Mods for 94 birdy?

Hey there all new to the forum and i love the looks of it as i went through some of the pages. Well i bought my bird about a month ago fixed it all up and now looking to add some Horsepower to the 3.4 v6 ( wish i had the 3.8). I plan on adding new headers, flowmasters exhaust, adding high proformance spark plugs and new wires, and a k&n air filter. now my bro told me i could buy a new chip for my computer that would add aton of horsepower ( 70 ). I dont really care how much things cost to an extent.. being 17 if i have to save 700 bucks i will.. So any different mods other than those would be most appreciative and again, i hope to have a good time at the forum :). Thanks

I don't know a whole lot about the V6's but I'm pretty sure the chip that add's 70 hp is BS. There are many things you can do...just read through some of the threads, there are many topics covering this.

Headers, a free flowing exhaust, a cold air intake, and reprogramming will likely net you about 25hp on that engine. It is also going to steal a ton of low end torque.
