Spark Plug Wires/distributor Help!!!!!!

I have a 91 eclipse 4 cylinder non turbo that i was gettign ready to sell. It was having a problem so i tried to fix it. when cold the car would start then die out, this would happen for a few tries then it finally would saty idiling and run. So i thought the problem was in the distributor cap. So i unplugged the spark plug wires from the cap and tooom the cap off. i found nothign wrong so i put the cap back on. I then found out that the wires had to go on the cap in a certain way. Well i don't know the order and the car won't start now. Please somebody help me!

i think it is 1-3-4-2- clockwise from the top... but you might want to do some research... go to a mitsu web site..???
