I/c Box?

Its been 4 FRICKIN WEEKS since i dropped my car off to get rebuilt. finally its almost done! :lol2: but any ways i stopped by the shop its at today and it was up on a lift with the engine gone (obviously) and i looked at the intercooler and saw that on the pipe comming out of the intercooler thier was this black box!? he said he has never seen this on 2nd gens and he thinks it was from a dif state where emisions might be dif or somthin. any ideas? and do u think if i blocked the box it could add alittle HP? :screwy:

I believe only the 95s had that, maybe 96 too. My 95 did. I'm sure it offers some resistance to flow, and getting rid of it cant hurt. Its just a silencer for any yuppy douchbags that might inadvertently buy a DSM. :lol:
