I've got a 95 Camaro with the 3.4. It's in great condition with low miles and it's a convertible. Nice car, but heavy. I'd like to boost my horsepower and give this pretty boy some muscle. Supercharger, maybe? Does anyone have any suggestions as to where I might get one and/or what else I might be able to do?

take that 3.4 and drop a ls1 or lt1 in the camaro then you could go ahead and supercharge it. look at ebay for some engines just be carefull

the 3.4 should have some aftermarket parts for it, im only really familiar with V8 engines, and mods, but try doing a web search on 3.4L performance mods, im sure something will turn up.

FirebirdV6.com they'll have everything you need to know about the 3.4L.. if you got the cash for a supercharger than you'd definately be better off just pullin the sixer and droppin in an LT1 or LS1

ok, if you want a supercharger for the 3.4, you have only a couple choices. make your own system; which would involve fabricating brackets, running lines, piping, beefed up fuel system, and getting your ECU programmed. another option is trying to find one on the net. to that i say good luck. you might get lucky and find a small no name shop that makes a kit, but no big name companies carry anything for the 3.4. one website i found (www.rsmracing.com) makes a kit but its not a very good one. rather, there are better supercharger systems out there. i was toying with the idea of getting that kit and modifying myself.
if you dont want to get down with that you are limited to bolt-ons. hate to say it but its true, the aftermarket focuses on the eighters. elsewise, check out www.thunderracing.com its a good site that i use a lot. they have good parts for a decent price...

also, putting a supercharger is no where near as expensive as swapping to a v-8. just got done pricing both out...

Well it depends... I had a 305 v8 and swapped it for a 350 v8 and that was about $3400 and superchargers are in that range, Oh I just though about the fact that i have a 91 and his is a 95...

also, his is a sixer, yours was a strait swap from a sbc to a sbc thats a no brainer. if you go from a six to an eight, there is a helluva lot that you gotta change.
