Ok, first off, its a Hewlett Packard 940c.
Lately its been making this wierd grinding noise hwen it first starts up. When I need to print something, I have to click print, wait, then turn off the printer, then turn it back on, then it prints.
Unfortunately, the colors are all messed up now, like inverted. Everything I have tried to print that is blue, turns out pink! Its really making me angry.
Any ideas?

How old is your printer?

Sounds like the printer spool (feeder) or ink cartridge arm mechanism might be having problems. Usually HP printers move everything around when it starts up as part of the boot process to make sure everything's working. Something's probably wearing out.
And if you're getting pink when trying to print blue, check that your ink cartridges aren't empty or aren't dried up. Try running the cartridge cleaner software. HP usually has something in it's printer software that will help calibrate and clean the cartridges.

sounds like it could use a vacation. i have no idea what the grindin noise could be but the colors could definatly be the ink cartridge.

You should have PM'ed me buddy!
Anyways, the first thing you wanna do is try and print a test page to make sure there isnt anything wrong with the printer itself. For this, all you need to do is press and hold the POWER button, then press the RESUME button 4 times and then release the POWER button. It will start printing out a page with the model number, serial number etc.
If the page prints out fine, with all the right coluors, then theres nothing wrong with the machine. If it doesn't print it off, or doens't have the black, cyan, yellow and magenta colours, you might wanna look at cleaning the cartridges physically.
PM me if you need more help

Thanks for the input everybody!
I replaced the color ink cartridge yesterday. The colors are fixed now, but it still makes that grinding noise sometimes. But its printing everything ok, so Im not gonna worry about it
