idle to WOT miss or high idle miss HELP!

I have a 92 4 door 2.2 AT and spun a bearing in april, bought another 92 2.2 motor from a junkyard and everything was fine except…
When I'm cruising around 20-25mph in first gear holding the speed steady I can hear a random miss every couple of seconds. I replaced the EGR valve ($50) and still had the problem so I just took the vacuum line off the EGR and THAT problem went away…
Now if I floor it from a dead stop it misses/stuters until around 5mph bu the high idle miss is gone. I just bought an EGR solenoid ($27) and installed it and put the vacuum line on. Now back to the first problem, missing at steady speed. Seems to have made no difference. My old motor didn't do this. I have replaced plugs, wires, swapped coil pack, and a new module. By proccess of elimination I'm sure it's not an ignition problem.
I was just checking it out with the car in park and idle, under the hood using the lobe shaped TB cable thing to rev it from under the hood. I pull the vac line off the EGR and hold the end with my thumb, when I rev it I can feel it suck strong so it's not a vac leak, the EGR is new, WTF!!!!!
So I got two options now, Leave the EGR on and let it miss while cruisong or pull the vac line (lately I just pull the wire off the solenoid to avoid leakage by having the vac off) and let it stall from a stop.
Any suggestions, thanks!

Clean your IAC valve and your fuel injector. The IAC valves get pretty gummy. Good Luck.

Well I cleaned the IAC, it was pretty nasty, so that fixed my idle probs. It never idled rough, just didn't want to jump from a stop WOT. Fine now.
NOW, with the EGR working it seems like when I'm cruising at a constant speed it misses like crazy, only when I'm neutral on the gas pedal, if I'm on or off the pedal a little it's not as bad. Also when cruising and I open'er up without hitting passing gear it feels like it chokes (boggs) for a second, like WAAaaaaAAAAAAAA……… If I disconect the EGR solenoid it doesn't do this.
Any sug.? As for the Injectors mine's multiport and I've always had one leaking, I'll fix and a few weeks later I get a slow leak, but after I fix it and there are no leaks, I still have the choking problem.
Thanks for the replys and hope to see another speedy one soon :)

Oh! I had ordered a set of VENOM injectors and waited 3-4 months for them to make 'em. Had to cancel, needed the mony. A factory replacement is $80ea! The VENOMs were $45ea. Does any one know where I could get a set of highflow injectors quicker? Thanks…

Since I'm the only one answering my own thread I'll figure it out myself. I guess it's something to do with my fuel pressure reg. or my injectors leaking every month. Could a faulty fuel pres. reg. cause frequent injector leaks?

yeah, thats what i was going to say, it could be a fuel pressure thing. maybe check to see if your fuel pump is going

Shit... sounds familar... i had the same problem.. I didn't even touch the car while it was acting like this..Brought it to the dealership and i was like... its missfiring when its started from a cold start.. fix it!...SO when i got the diagnosis... they said i had sheard a spark plug wire off and i was miss firing on #3...Duh i figured that...So i got a new spark plug wires, ontop of it all.... i had them do a fuel injection cleaning ( made car a little more responsive).. I also had corrosion on my battery so i had them clean that out and i got chrome washers now on there....since i thought the coils may be gettin a bad charge, but i new they were good since i had to get the replaced only 2 months prior..... now i am having problems with it again but dealing with a wobbling in front end at certain speeds and brakes a being a bitch aswell.... i have new rotors and pads on there... still makin squeeking noise and i've been considering going out and buyin a base 05 with a manual tranny... life would be soo much easier with a new car....but anyways.... g'luck bro...

^ ontop of that all.... a lesson to people on lowering cars.... DO NOT BUY CHEAP SPRINGS AND MOUNT THEM ON STOCK STRUTS!!...As or right now i have 4 blown struts and riding on Dropzone springs = worse ride possible... but i've got the fix for all of that....Its in my sig... but not on the car yet... hopefully columbus vacation weekend...

I just pulled the injectors and the #4 Inj. had a gouge in the o-ring, I put a fatter o-ring on it and it seems fine now. Of course I still have the EGR solenoid disconected, things will probably start acting up when I hook it back up.

Sorry I havent answered. The Hurricanes here in Florida and all. The EGR valve will need to be replaced. The solenoid is internal and they come as a unit. $167 at autozone. I found a junkyard unit for free and that cured my problem. It would provide you with a cheap test. Good Luck.

Like I said, the EGR is new, I know the solendoid works fine 'cause when I pull the vacuum line off the EGR and rev it I feel the vacuum swith on and off.

Sorry about that. It is hard to read all the responses with that big photo in the way. Besides I am old and slow.
But as for your problem with the EGR system you may need to consult with a Haynes manual to get the testing specs for the EGR circuit. You may also find that there is a reset or learn proceedure. Other than that I am all out of answers on this one.
