97 k1500 Dies when put in gear

Hey I have a 1997 Chevy 1500 Z71. The problem I'm having is it will start and run fine.. but when I put it in reverse or any gear for that matter, it shuts off. It has to be electrical of some sort because the engine is fine. I'm not sure what is going on or what I need to fix. Please help. Thanks in advance.

If some one was messing around under the hood, check for a vaccum leak. Or, if thats not it, find out how to get the code from the computer. Auto Zone can usually help getting the code.
