I´ve been busy with falling through my exam in the first half of the day and then with deleting my harddrive and installing everything new again! But it worked out very well! (I mean with my computer!) :)

I've been busy working on my car wiring up my subwoofer amp. I got as far as getting the cable through the firewall and into the passenger compartment and it starts raining. Have to leave it until tomorrow so I'll probably be working on the car all day tomorrow.
Things have been very quiet of late in here.

What amp are you going 2 install? I'm busy with a sound system 2 at the moment. I first want 2 put in all wires and then buy me an amp and a sub. I'm thinking about an infinity RA6006, it's a 6 channel amp for about 350-400 euro, I think good value for money. The only problem is that I want an infinity bas-tube to connect it 2, but the amplifier gives 250 Watt nominal rms (4 ohm) in bridged mode for the sub, and the bas tube max is 200 watt.....
Do you lay the power cable through the middle of the car?

I have an Alpine MRV T707 amp and a 10" Type-R subwoofer. The amp is a 2 channel subwoofer amplifier which outputs 1 x 300 Watts RMS @ 4 OHM bridged. This is my first install so I didn't want to go too mad. I laid the power cable down the passenger side of the car. All the plastic parts just clip off and it looks very neat now :D. The audio, cd changer and remote cables are being laid down the middle of the car.
I'm not familiar with the infinity amps but I do know they may excellent speakers so I think you will have a great set-up. I would be careful with the bass tube as you may be pushing it too hard with your amplifier. Does your amp work in tri-mode?
Good luck with it anyway.

tri-mode? It's a 6 channel amp, where 2 channels can be bridged, so it can be a 3/4/5/6 channel output amp.

what's a type-r subwoofer? is it from alpine? nice name especially for honda :D , but 300 watt is very very much for only one speaker I think, even the infinity kappa 10" sub can handle 'only' 250 watts, so maybe you must be carefull 2 then.

Yes it's the Alpine type-R. It can handle 1000 Watts max and 300 Watts RMS so it will be fine. Tri-mode is running a pair of speakers and 1 subwoofer off the amp. It looks like a good amp. Have you listened to it?

Alpine seems 2 be nice then 2, going to build your own box?
I Haven't listened 2 it, but on the internet site there is a link to a magazine which rated it very good, and I have good experiences with jbl home speakers and a pair of infinity car speakers, so I think it should be good, it's also more dependend of the speakers than of the amplifier I think.

I'm going 2 buy it when I have succesfully installed my wires. Then I expect to get it for about €340-350 euro's at a local store, otherwise I'll buy it in germany because it's cheaper there. The info I put on is from the german infinity site, that's why the DM are there :)
