Power antenna question

Hey,

Since I am really not into audio I don't know my options here. My power antenna grinds when it goes up and down now. Yup...it's bent, tried to bend it back..still not working. If at all possible I would like to dump that nasty looking power antenna with something permanent in my trunk if at all possible and smooth out where the antenna used to be and blend it with the body. Is XM my only option? or can I still mount my antenna in my trunk and still get decent reception? Just looking for options....

Well "blending" that area.. will be welding the hole and painting the WHOLE panel. IMO find the same antenna and just replace it.
