take out the rev limiter & you can rev up as high as you want,
but I dont think it would be too safe for your car,

I hit 9500 Rpm on the B16 with the stock cam... I don't recoment it with the stock valvetrain though.
I'm building my motor to take 10 000Rpm Daily. But I also have a fully built Bottom end, Fully built Head with Aftermarket Valvetrain.

8500 on stock b16 valve train
You dont want to know what happens to a b16 head with stock springs & retainers at about 9500 if you hit it more than once.....
valves dropping into the cylinder will destroy your engine.

I think you guys should just put motor cycle engines in your cars. At 10,000 rpm your not making any real Horse power. And 10,000 daily what you plan on driving this car what maybe a couple weeks doing this. What a waste. IMO
BTW its not good what ever motor your building or have built or not built to go over 8500 rpm maybe 9,000 max but at some point your going to watch a rod, valve, piston, or what ever fly though your hood. It will be great for the people around lots of sparks hopefully maybe some smoke and fire. Hmm on second thought ya 10,000+ rpms is great for your motor if ya come to my town please call so I can help ya.

I would be VERY suprised if I broke a Eagle Rod. and my valvetrain is capable of taking 11 000rpm+ (Rev valves, Rev High PSI Springs and Rev Ti retainors)
When I dynoed my B16, it was still making power at 8200rpm (cut off at the time) I want my motor to be able to go to 10 000rpm and when I dyno tune it it will tell me where my powerband ends.
since the B16 is not a displacement engine like the LS/B20/GSR/H22 it's a Rev Engine... to get power out of it you need high revs... also since the B16 has a near perfect Rod/stroke ratio it can take the revs and still build power where other motors are no longer efficient.

it will take a hell of a lot of head work, some MASSIVE cams, intake manifold, hellafied tuning...basically a fully built full race engine to be able to have a useful powerband to 10k, just so you know

You really need to build up your bottom especially! Building up the head is NOT GONNA help you rev higher. Its only gonna handle the revving! You need to build the bottom end and balance and blue print to where they can make it handle 10k. You can make power over 9k rpm with FAT CAMS. Just remember your motor wont last too long with that kind of revving. Tuning is very important of course! ;)
