Upgrades

Hey i was wondering, what upgrades would be good for my stock 1999 pontiac firebird 3.8L. I just got it and I want to make it run a little faster. Have any ideas on some Intakes, or anything? I'm not to sure im kinda new to the car world.

actually you can get free ram air
get a k&n filter
my best oil advice for that car was quaker state for high performance cars it worked great in that car, or if you felt like spending alot get royal purple or redline but those are upwards of 5-7 dollars a quart

when i did this on mine the shift from second to third it didn't loose any acceloration on the butt o meter cause thats about when the ram air would start to take effect

they also sell 1.6 or 1.7 rollerockers for that get a dual pipe setup

you would be around 230hp maybee more with that stuff done

then they sell all the big stuff like headers and cam and supercharger/turbo kits
