Distributor bushing?

A buddy of mine has a 1998 ram 360 and it has a miss at higher RPMs the troble code it throws (sometimes) is the cam sensor, the sensor has been changed twice the dist. has been changed.The dealer tech said there is a bushing in the engine block for the dist. that can crack very easy , And to change it the intake must be removed . Has anyone else had this type of problem and is there really a bushing in the block to change. He has had many people tell him it does and several tell him thier is no bushing. :confused:

Just tell him to get it fixed. He shouldn't be so paranoid of people.
