Wasn't someone just talking about University Ave. and all the racing in MN? I think we got a little piece of bacon on these forums :eek7:

^Someone may be on to something. Nevertheless, this is why we don't post locations. Good lesson for all of those who love to ask "Where do people street race at so and so?" Take notes.

that or we could just make up a bunch of meeting places and have those bastard cops running around looking for nothing.
if i sound bitter it's because i got my 3rd ticket this year tonight :banghead:

Seriously, I don't say any streets or highways, unless they are big, or like interstate...its just bad karma for those of us who love being illegal. One day we all will get it in the ass.

As for tickets, I got a $534 ticket about a month ago. Wanna know what for? Was driving my friends S-10 home, first rain in about 2-3 weeks, so his tires got slippery as shit, cop saw me spinning em (on pure accident) accelerating through an intersection. Told me it was a Level 2 Hazardous driving ticket or some bullshit. Turns out the judge I was placed with has been through must street racing ticket cases, and when he heard my plea (s-10, rwd, light in the back, never driven before, was being DD, first rain in 1/2 a month)..threw it out. I got a $534 ticket thrown out. Beat that :iceslolan

Sorry to hear about your ticket though otter, those things are a pain, and put your car on the "lookout" list...

thats why i never go to organized street races. i just meet up with a few friends and do i or 2 races a night. and if someone messes with me on the highway then i race. but its almost never the same spot.

Nah, represented myself (with my dad of course) didn't have to get a lawyer. I knew it would either be reduced or dropped from the start because of the judge's reputation.

for one thing all the cops in MN already know about university ave. so why dont we all just settle down and not chew my frickin head off. grow up, anyone who thinks cops dont know about the in city street racing places are just kiddin themselves.

I got it on my bike. Second one this year. I was going to just run but while I was down shifting another cop was in front of me. It's only $105

Don't be a moron.

If you don't want to get tickets then don't break the law. Seriously, so you would put other people's lives in danger simply because you don't want to pay for a ticket?

Like TatII I never go to organized street races. I just race spontaneously from light to light if someone wants to. I just do it for fun and if I get caught then I'll gladly pay the ticket. The Police are just doing their job and if you're breaking the law then you deserve what you get.

"Organized" (read: bunch of fucktards in one place) street racing is what gives respectable automotive enthusiasts a bad rep.

Stoplight racing is one thing, but 500 "homiez" with Hondas lining both sides of the road is asking for trouble.

I heard something crazy on the radio the other day. They now have lines on the highway that are painted 400m apart and the cops time how long it takes for a vehicle to get from line 1 to line 2 and give out tickets. One of thier first busts was a kid on a motorcycle. He got caught going 205mph! 140mph over the speed limit. I wouldn't have believed it, but it was on a talk radio show my dad was listening to. OMFG 140mph over the speed limit. Didn't say what happened to him though. Use your head and eyes. Don't be a dumbass.

I think that you might mean the mile marker signs. The time how long it takes for you to travel between mile marker signs. They've been doing that for years.

the news article somebody posted up a few days said they did measure his 1/4 mile time. they've been doing that in cleveland for a few years at least. not sure if they used mile markers or other road markings, but it's been done
