i have a 1997 sunfire gt 2.4L
when the weather starts to get colder, like it is now in canada, or when i start it up in the morning, i have a problem with my car.
when i start driving, it starts to die out, the revs will drop suddenly when i shift, or brake to a stop. once the car begins to warm up, it will disapear. and the car will run normally
does anyone have this problem too, or know how to fix it? or what it is?

For what its worth, I have a 98 2.4L and I shift it low when cold and it seems to stop that problem.
I don't know why it does it, tune up never helped.

more than likely it's an IAC motor. It's a small soleniod on the side of the throttle body that adjusts air flow at idle and part throttle, especially when the engine is cold.
