MK2 GTI Wheel Bearing problems

I've got a 1987 MK2 Golf GTI and ever since I bought it have been having problems with the front driver side wheel bearings. I've had to replace them 3 times in 1 year, which is a pain in the backside. Anyone know why this may be happening and how to fix it.

What brand of bearing? How are you installing them?

maybe the mass (sorry, i think that´s how we call it here :banghead: )(is the part where the bearings go in :p ) is already too big for the new bearings, in that case you have to replace it. :grinyes:
