please enlighten me

Why do people insist on continuing this ricer fad? I don't mean all imports, props to the ones that put work into them and can break 13's, but why does everyone put a sticker and 3 ft. useless wing on the back, a loud ass muffler and huge, tilted tip on their cars and think they're the fastest, most bad ass thing on the road? It pisses me off no end. They are everywhere. Ugly paint jobs, loud exhaust, dumbass drivers. Again, some are tasteful, but 99% of them around here think they run 12's because they fly by a vette in the middle of traffic and say they beat him in a race, and that their new stickers and CAI took off 5 seconds. Please help me understand this pointless craze. Thank you

The million dollar question that many ppl ask, I don't think there's one solid answer for why people do what they do to their cars. Maybe they actually think it enhances the driveability of the car...just look at, maybe those huge ass wings that ppl put on their civics or camrys will actually help them with aerodynamics while crusing at 40 mph down the street??

In all seriousness, there's no real way of understanding why ppl do what they do. I agree though, there are way too many "ricers" or "beaners" out there, but there are also a bunch of guys and girls that actually produce some very nice rides with some actual performance. You're just gonna have to accept it and go with the flow like the rest of us.

Yea, I know that's all I can do. I just wish I could understand....oh well

I have a '00 civic that I am tuning (very slowly), and where I live it is the same thing. Even though I love hondas, I don't associate with those that hang out in Mcdonalds parking lots with neon splattered cars and huge exhaust pipes pretending that their 100hp car is "fast and furious". I would like to improve performance and style but I WILL NEVER be in their "high class" category.... lol

bloomington,IL is the worst place ever for gay ricers... three reasons: automatic sunfires, LED windsheild squirters, 6 inch WAL MART exuast tips. Its cool though because all those D-bags worship me when i own them in my slightly modded del sol which isnt even that powerful or cool

Haha..I had a prelude and I tuned a bit of it , the B20A was kicking out pretty good but always some one had the better "Visual" performance vehicle no matter what "How much horse power did you say those stickers gave you ?"..."50 at the wheels..at least." I prefer my Mazda 6 and Camaro now though. v-6 and v-8..massive power , massive top end and massive take off ^.^
