Which one on your opinian is best for importing into US if you are not rich?

Zato

Kinda one sided. The R32 is cheapest one to get but depends on your definition of "how rich"?

RazorGTR
09-21-2004, 11:25 PM
very lopsided! Since you can't comply a 1996 or later you are religated to the R32 and the first Gen R33.

in general:
32, best car in my mind reguardless of price.

to answer your question:
I can't answer, it's a loaded question.

R32 is the one.
R33 has a weaker engine. (and looks too much like an S14)

I love the R34 and the R33 GTST

why r34 can't be legalized? I went to nopi and saw an r34 with tennessee license plate. I can scna it and post if somebody would tell me how to post pics.
I think R32 is the best. Great handling, cheap, true racing vehicle. And I think it is way batter than r33.

I like the r33 the best (ihave one) because, it is a little more refined than the r32, and the base GTR gets brembo brakes. The motor is a little stronger in an r33 as well (more torque). The r32 I believe makes a better race car, but For a street car the r33 is the best in my opinion.

thegladhatter
09-22-2004, 10:30 AM
The R34 is NOT being legalized in the US yet. Motorex only does R32 and R33.

The motor mounts weaken the block on the R33. The R32 is tougher. The R33 is prettier. The R34 is a beast.

InfestedShadow
09-22-2004, 01:00 PM
yeah a beast :)

The R34 can't be legalized by MotoRex yet pending some issues about it. There are R34s in the US but they hardly are ever driven around as everyday cars, mostly for shows.

Thanks, Ithink R32 is the best it is definitly better than R33 (i think) it is close to R34. PLus 4 wheel steering and a nice ****RB26DETT****

thegladhatter
09-23-2004, 06:22 PM
PLus 4 wheel steering ...
The 4 wheel steering is the biggest negative about the car. HICAS sucks big-time.

Really ?

09-23-2004, 10:38 PM
Most everyone I know who has had it...disabled it.

Zato
09-24-2004, 03:37 AM
How's the performance once its disabled?

InfestedShadow
09-24-2004, 11:43 PM
Yeah what about the performance now The gladHatter ?

ohh by the way, you know if GTT have Hicas ?
and do you know their performance ?

thegladhatter
09-26-2004, 12:55 AM
Great performance. HICAS has caused more accidents on the expressway than you will ever know. Without HICAS the car is much safer at high speeds. I have a friend who did a 360 in a tunnel because of HICAS.

R32 GTT HAS HICAS. I am less sure ablout R33 and R34.

Zato
09-26-2004, 05:17 AM
So its recommended to turn off the HICAS if you use the car as an everyday vehicle?

thegladhatter
09-26-2004, 05:44 AM
I would just disable it completely. It is of no use.

InfestedShadow
09-26-2004, 04:28 PM
wow, then HICAS really feel in my esteem

The early R32 GTRs had very weak oil pump drives. The R33 GTRs engines are much stronger.

They all seem to have oiling problems, because they pump too much oil to the top, and the crank becomes oil starved. Most engine builders will install restrictors in the oil galleys to help prevent this problem.

I have recently started the ball rolling on getting an r32 from Motorex, and i was thinking about purchasing mods before i even got the car so once i get it things could go in, but is this something you think i should look into? If so, are there any good names i should look out for? or just go for a direct OEM replacement?

Why are going through MotoRex, they cannot legalize any GTRs anymore!

I don't know where you are getting your info but you are wrong. The R33 engine is NOT stronger than the R32.

I don't think that is true either. You been huffing? They just aren't doing the R34. They are STILL the only ones doing Skylines for the ordinary Joe.

true that, the the r34 is the only one not being legallized by motorex. I do know one thing: the r32 has a better rb26dett engine, and best if you want to mod it.

Nah, the R34 motor is way better. I mean. It's got red valve covers. what more could you want?

jmrev

besides the R34, we know that is the best. I was comparing the r33 and r32, sorry if it seemed like i was comparing the r34 and r32.:sorry:

I've driven an R32 GTR, an R33 GTR and I've been in an R34 GTR while driving, but haven't driven one myself. I like the R32 the most.

Honestly it's like asking what is hotter, a blonde a redhead or a black hair. We may have preferences but we all know that there are some fine looking ladies of all hair colors. Same is true for the 32-34 GTR's :-)

jmrev
10-21-2004, 08:29 PM
