96 Metro hard cold start

I've got a 96 Metro, 3 cyl, that doesn't like to start if the temp has dropped below 50º f. I don't have a problem at all during the summer, but now starting is a 15 minute ordeal. It will fire for about 1/2 second and then I have to crank and crank. Slowly, it will start to fire on what feels like one cylinder but then die after a few seconds. This goes on until the one sensor that has gone bad has warmed up and things are fine after. The only code stored is a mis-fire detected. ( I think in cyl 3 ). Other than that, the car runs great. Still get 40 mpg at 166,000 miles. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
