electric problems need help

i relbult my alternator and was reinstaling it and i touched the wire from the electric regulator on a ground ( yeah i know i should have not had the battery connected but is was getting dark and i was runny out of time) and it sparked. i reattached it to the positive on the alternator and i went to start my car and no power at all. no dash lights no anything. i have not checked fuses yet or anything alse for the matter just thought i would post up here befor i went to work on it. if any one has any knowlage on this i would appreashte the help.

i've done something like that before... i had to replace a fusible link, and everything worked after that. you'll find it attatched to your starter relay on the driver's side. pull on the fusible links until one comes apart, and replace that one.

Yup, should be a fusible link. I burned up a fusible link in a '68 corvette at work, my boss almost killed me lol.
