ya, it was mostly gray. the pannels under the dash, the doors, and other crap. it was $500 though. but prolly most of that was to fix what i did to it lol. but, its holding up pretty good, have had it on there for about 3 months and no cracking yet

When I bought my clipse over a year ago, I was stupid a painted a lot of my interior pieces (Ashtray, Stereo trim, door handle trim) blue. I regret it now, but I'm totally re-doing my interior. I fiberglassing everything. You know how the door panels, and a lot of the dash has that leathery look a feel to it, yeah, when I'm done everthing in side will be smooth, glossy black. I Building a fiberglass sub encloser that comes down between the seats and molds into the center console. Ittle B Sweet! I'll post pics when I'm done!

$500 to have maaco paint your interior pieces?? I know you said they had to fix the pieces for you but that sounds like way to much money. When I bought my GS the kid that I bought it from had painted most of the interior plastic pieces a dumb metallic silver color and it looked like crap. The paint was chipping all over the place. I went out and bought some cans of this grey that looks almost like the stock color but better. It was called battleship grey. All I did was sand the pieces down real good with light sandpaper, 2 coats of primer, 3 or paint, and 3 of clear and it looks perfect. Total cost was under $10.

Damn Maaco paints your car for less than 500 :p
Anyways, clean it real good, sand the shit out of it (600 grit), clean it with thinner or rubbing alcohol. Then lay down 2 coats of primer, 7 LIGHT coats of paint, and 3 coats of clear. I used krylon fusion and duplicolor auto paint. I will post pics if I ever get my scanner working

i got them from www.jcwhitney.com and they fit great and look great. they do get dirty a little and scratched up. if you get them, make sure you screw them down though :)
as for the other posts, it cost so much at maaco cause they had to fix what i did. i dont knoiw the first thing about painting, so i just went to an auto supply store, picked up some red spray paint and started away with it lol. to make a long story short, the red turned out lookin like orange, and it never dried, and some got on my driver side seat! thank god i didnt do both doors, only driver side. and i dont have an airbrush machine or anything lol. yes, feel free to call me an idiot cause of my n00bish-ness

I wouldn't trust a paint job that costs only $265. One guy at an installation place I went to years ago told me about a customer with an M3 that had a maaco paint job. The installer said he was installing a set of side markers in the fenders and when he took a piece of tape he had put on the fenders off while working, all of the paint came off with the tape.

Maaco's paint jobs blow ass. They WILL fade and flake off in less than a year. They use a paint that is premixed with clearcoat, and they barely put any coats down.
The only thing I would use macco for is to fix the damage and then get the car painted somewhere else.

Never pay someone to paint something! Unless its your body panels. Painting is really easy and you can do it just as well as pros for 1/100 the cost. Its just time and labor. But you should do some practice too. There are many conditions when painting though that determines how it will turn out. The temp, humidity, drying time between coats, kind of paint you use (emamel, urethane, laquer, etc) they all require different drying times and conditions. And most importantly prep. Also what most people forget is cleaning. Clean it really good with denatured alcohol. If you do a little research online you can find everythig you need to know.
If you want to do the interior black though, I would use vinyl dye on the leather and flexible peices. Im planning on doing my interior all black with silver accents.
