faulty speedo

My speedo on my 1994 993 seems to have packed up. The mph works but is about 10mph slower than the actual speed...also the mileometer has stopped working completely so no distance is recorded..any ideas? how do i take it apart to check?

you will have to bring it to a qualified odometer repair facility. there is nothing you can do yourself.
