Well I wonder if the new C6 will inherit the infamous piston slap from it's predecessor??? Hopefully GM has learned a lesson from the past and redesigned!!! :banghead:

Piston slap is good
That means you have forged pistons
They need more clearance because they expand
get the car hot and it should go away
I replaced my 87 cast pistons with Manley flat tops with two valve notches
run them up to zero deck height and 66 cc alum heads
around 10.7 to 1 compression ratio
car flies and gets almost 30 mpg
The 87 came with low compression and got 25 mpg
After i did it they also changed the factory cars
but mine is faster because it has ported heads
a SLP cam with Pro flow cut back valves
tri flow stainless exhaust
I may sell it if anyone is interested
got a bad back and it is to low to get out for me
needs new mufflers and a few minor things
8k takes it
60k on it
