My 1989 DX/ZC Turbo

OK i started with a Stock 89 CRX DX at about 88 HP...so first thing was adding the ZC engine...

Then after i got the ZC installed the novelty wore off fast so we had add some HP Fast, So then we added a GT17 Turbo...

and so far i got down to 14.222 @ 102 MPH in the quarter and still tuning.

i like the color, what supporting mods you got for that turbo?

Got an FMU, Irridium spark plugs, Synthetic oil, and the intercooler. The engine is totally stock and it runs excellant takes all even at 10 pounds of boost...

my buddies civic was pushing 12psi with just a walboro 255 and an fmu....the only reason he replaced the fuel pump was because he thought it was going out on him...so he decided to just upgrade. he was running fine with the stock pump tho.

you should get a huge intercooler that fills up the whole space in the bumper, that would look crucial.

looks like you have a good start.

running 10psi on an FMU with no timing management is a bad bad bad idea. even with a small 8psi disc in your FMU, you're running well over 100psi of fuel pressure in a system designed to handle just over 40psi. In addition, you have no timing retard, and so there is about a 90% chance you are detonating. detonation kills engines.

get some real management, or atleast an MSD BTM and pray that nothing happens from such high fuel pressure (i spy a redrilled 92-95 fuel rail)

the bottom line is that FMU's are complete crap, but it looks like you would have a very potent setup if it werent for that.

Its not because of heat! Chicago is worse than phoenix when it comes to heat cause of humidity! Theres so much to complain about arizona! Ppl drive like idiots, cost of living here is high! I mean shit just the a/c alone cost me 250 in one month! Oh and i got pulled over cause my license was suspended cause i didn't pay a fine in chicago and i had to pay the court 325! In chicago is only like 150 if i remember correctly! Other than that the scene is nice, lots of job oppurtinities and its like money pot here! I'm just mak'n my money and move!
