my clutch has 113k+ miles on it, is very heavy, and lately when im putting it in second gear, i will be letting it up, and as i shift into 2nd, its hard to get it into place. do you think its time for a new clutch, and if so how much do they run?

Probably time for a new one if it's getting hard to get it into a gear, they run anywhere from $100 to $500, depending if you want OEM or upgraded. (just bought a clutch kit for $120 the other day on EBAY, got it and it's good)

I would honestly do a drivetrain oil change first. Do a search for drivetrain oil change and you will find other threads regarding this. There is a page on www.stealth316.com that gives instructions. When I did this, the shifting inbetween gears was SO much smoother.

i'd also check your clutch hydraulics as they can go bad at that milage too it may not be the actual clutch on its way out

Is drivetrain oil the same as transmission fluid?...come to think of it, where's the transmission fluid go on a 5-Speed?? Never even crossed my mind, that would've been rough if I bolted it up and test drove it w/ no fluid in it (doing a tranny swap).

Yes gear oil(manual) is the equivalent of tranny fluid(auto)
This is the site I mentioned before, it should answer all your questions as to what fluids and where to put them.
