burnout story

well about 2 weeks ago i went over to one of my buddies house, he has a 69 rs with a 383 stroker, well he had some new tires and wheels he had just put on, the tires were old goodyear bias ply that would have came on the car org

well he lives on a farm and has no pavemnent, but there was pavement in has barn, so he backed the camaro into the barn and let em burn, well he lives in the middle of nowhere and with them bias play it was the most spectacular burn out i had ever seen, well smoke filled the barn completley and didnt leave for about a half hour, he shredded the tires so bad there was about a inch layer of rubber in his garage, it looked like it had snowed rubber

now heres the funny part, with him living in the middle of nowhere it takes emergencies vehicles long to get places, well about a half hour after this burnout a fire truck comes down the driveway with sirens blaring, apparently some neighbors had called cause they thought the barn was on fire. we had to give the fireman some bs story about a bbq gone wrong

I would of just said that the person calling was mistaken and said sorry. hehehe That is similar to my first burnout. '77 Cordoba backed up in a polebarn. Oh yeah...

yeah they knew that it wasnt a bbq gone wrong but the 69 was in the garage locked up so i dont think they thought of that, they just had this dumbfounded look on their faces, i dont think they cared though, way out in farmland there lucky if they get a call a week, i figure it keeps them on their toes

why the hell would someone want to live in BFE!?!? (no offense) but i live right beside a gas station/waffle shop/subway....so everything i need is right here...but u/ur friend have to drive a few miles to get to anything, also it being country u prob dont have anything thats open 24hrs...that must suck <.<

yeah, and KaotiKCamaro5 i dont think u should be cutting ur cat off on a computer controlled car, i dont know much about 4th gens at all but isnt there a post cat 02???, from what i know nowadays cutting of ur cat will have no hp gain at all, in fact it might even lower it if u have apost cat 02

well i dont live in the country at all, my friend does, and where i live in mich, its weird you will be driving along and you will be going passed mcdonalds and subways and gas stations and all these stores, and before you know it theres farms, its like the farms border right on the citys, so even for my friend its like 15 minutes to a pretty big city

ShoX8517
09-21-2004, 12:36 PM
oh, but still think if u were ur friend and at midnight u wanted a ice cream or something and u had tio get in ur car and drive 15 minutes just to get it and 15 minutes to go back when i can walk next door (dont have to drive) get it and be back in 5 minutes.

Or you could just go buy some at the grocery store and then just walk to the freezer, lol.

I would love to live in the country. All the room to do what ever you want, no neighbors next door to be nosy. I guess thats just the country in me though. Thats pretty sad, i'm a cidiot wanting to be a hick.
(for those of you wondering, its pronounced s-id-e-ot, a city idiot)

my 93 only had a single cat.. and it bout had it, so i just cut it off and welded on a straight pipe.. it actually helped me, opened the exhaust a little more.. i did it almost 2 years ago.. and it makes the sixer sound a little more mean.. strange how that works.. im building my own electronic cutout at the time.. im thinkin bout stickin that somewhere.. :), and after christmas i might get some headers..
