Firing Order

Anyone know how to get the proper firing order for my Bird? It's a 93 3.8L.

I was looking at the engine with a mechanic, and he said that it seems to be misfiring, or that it seems to be firing in the wrong order. I looked in my Haynes manual, but didn't see anything about it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
Mike

1 4 2 5 3 6

basically in this formation:

3 6
2 5
1 4

Okay, so

A) Is that '1 4 2 5 3 6' the clockwise or counter-clockwise order on the distributor cap?

B) Is that the numbering of the cylinders if the bottom (1 & 4) is the front of the engine, and the top (3 & 6) is the rear of the engine?

Thanks a lot man, I really appreciate this!

I don't doubt it one bit. I'm just trying to interpret what he told me.

Sorry to keep bumping an apparently dead thread, but Saturday is the only day that I have to check this out, and the Haynes manual hasn't been any help to me (that I can see, anyhow).

I have 2 jobs, and one of them is delivering pizzas (no, I don't have to use that damn sign on top of my car), so I want to make sure that my car is running as good as it possibly can be.

Thanks again for any help!
