2.2 Buick engine same as Chevy, Olds?

My wife's aunt has a 1995 Century with a 2.2 four cylinder engine. Is this 2.2 the same engine as used in Chevy products like Cavalier, Beretta, S-10 trucks and the Olds Cutlass? I was attempting to find out how the reliabilty factor is for this motor as we were considering purchasing it. Thank you for any insights.

it is the same as any gm front wheel drive. The only issues are head gasket problems if the engine was mistreated or overheated.

The head gasket on the GM 2.2 only takes about 4 hours to replace, and that includes clean up and washing your hands.
