I need to make a resume and I have a bit of a problem. I am going to edit my old one from last summer. I have on it now the school I WAS attending, but I dropped out 1 year ago (money and other problems :disappoin ). Do I just leave the school on my resume and put the dates I attended, or get rid of it completely? I should also note I did recieve and award my freshman year.

If you have plans on returning to school I think I would leave it. If not then I'm not so sure. If you have one year, they will probably ask you about it and then you can explain why you had to leave. Good luck.

Any education counts, especially if the classes back-up requirements for the job your applying for. Keep it!!

Yeah, best bet is to make it as ambiguos as possible without actually lying. You have a much better chance explaining it if you get an interview, but if they think your a dropout from your resume, they might not even give you one. But just don't lie, because it's really embarrasing if they find out.

If I get this job, it'll be back to the 9-5 hell that I don't want...

Keep it on the resume and don't take a job you know you'll hate.

Put it on there, worst case scenario they call you on it and you explain it the best way you can to make it favorable to you. And I agree don't get into a job you hate if you have a choice.

I don't really have a choice. There is about a 1% chance of me going back to school (long story short, my dad cut me off after I decided I didn't want to attend the school I was at). I'd have to stay local and pay for it, I tried for 1 semester and I wasn't liking it. Then I worked this summer at a coffee shop making $9 an hour. Wow I am 21; I was really going places there... So now it's possibly back to Computer Aided Design (I started doing this when I was in HS). Hopefully it will give me enough money to move out.
