Here is one I haven't seen here yet. Well decide to take a long weekend fishing trip and guess what, trouble. Had a great day of fishing, towed the boat all day and no problems, we did hit some gravel roads, but that should be no problem for the Rodeo. Well let me tell ya, we finished off the day with no problems, until dropped the boat and went to get a pizza. I went to back out of the pizza place and CLUNK CLUNK SNAP POP. Holy crap what was that? Heard some horrible noise comming from the drivers side front wheel, so I got out the listen while my girlfriend tried moving it a little, and it sounded horrible. I tried shaking the wheel back and forth and heard what sounded like little pieces of bearing falling out. I thought for sure the wheel bearing was gone(and so did the mechanic that I was able to reach at his home on a friday night, luckily in these small towns, everyone knows everyone). So anyway, we nurse it over to the station which luckily was close because by the sound of it the wheel was going to come off. Well the next morning he pulled the wheel and what not and had found that the ABS plate ( the toothed gear that the sensor uses to see that wheel is moving ) had disintegrated. He suspects that a pebble or a piece of gravel maybe got in there. But anyway, the plate is gone and the sensor trashed. I have to do brakes here in the next month anyway, just looks like I will be buying some extra parts.

I too am forever getting rocks stock inside the front wheels, good gosh they sound horrible. Never had them do any damage, however, but I don't have front ABS either.
