I doubt they would do a conversion, so more than likely it's real. Maybe it was only a limited edition or something. I'm not sure though. Good Question!

Yes, there is a 4-door Skyline of the same generation as the R34, but I believe it uses a different designation.

I believe Aoshima makes a 4-door Skyline. I think it's an R32, though....and yes the 4-door Skyline exists. Even being from the states you should know this....the Infiniti G35 Sedan.

there has been a 4 door version of the skyline since it was badged as a prince way back in the 50's or 60's (cant remember off the top of my head). to my knowledge the only 4 door GTS skyline sedan model made is a R32 by fujimi (correct me if im wrong).
yes there is a ER34 sedan. uses an RB25DET (like all skyline GTS'(except for lastest ones)
its would be very difficult IMO to convert a R34 2 door GT-t or GT-R into the sedan. as there are alot of differences in body shape (beside having 4Doors:P!)
hope that clears things up

I've been studied the ER34 4dr and R34 2dr for about 3months. It's possible to mod R34 2dr to ER34 4dr, but alot of work had to be done. One good thing is the length in between front and rear wheels arch are the same as R34. the length of the 4dr Er34 is shorter by around 115(in real car), so divided into 24, you rougly can get a answer for it.
The hardest part are the length and height of window frame, and the door. the driver door (ER34 and R34) are the same size, you only need to scribe a new door to the rear seater. (Yes, it sound pretty easy to said, because I found a way to cut the body. :P)
Hopefully, my next frankenstein project will be "Monkey Magic ER34" these coming 2months. Or maybe other "frankenstein" had already started...this awesome ER34 project  :p

AstroRide44 ... it's not started yet, it will be after I finish all my project on my signature...say around 1month and move on to ER34. But I not finish find the logo on 'Monkey magic' cars  :p
_WIDE_LOAD_... you got your point right too, I just giving my point. But seriously talking, it's not a easy project to do. :icon16:
As long you can find any scale drawing/blueprint on 1:1 cars, you can scale down to a model car size...and nothing is impossible, just follow your heart and you will find the end. (my way of thinking )

good luck with that rtuned. which kit are u using for your base?

Since the wheelbase between the 2dr adn 4dr are the same, the conversion is doable. I believe the front overhang is almost the same, too. So, the major job will be the rear. You can start from Fujimi's ER34 GT-S 2.5, and extend the trunk. The rear window is quite different, but you might be able to find a suitable part from another car. (or even Aoshima's R32 4dr) Rest are pretty much filling some of the 2dr panel lines with superglue, and rescribe with a curving tool or back of the Xacto.

Either a Tamiya R34 or Fujimi ER34. I have not decided yet because now messing the scale and shape on F430 vs 360 modena, Marserati MC12R vs Enzo Ferrari and MG SV-R vs 350Z...

Nope RB25DE, or DET (Single Turbo). They have made 4 door Skylines sineces the 60's (Thats right Skylines came out as Convertibles in 1958, even thought most of you just worship the R34 and the GTR badge. BTW the R32 will kick an R34's a-double anyday of the week) If anyone does come across one of these kits please fill me in.

SkylineMan32... I think all GT-R came with GT-R badge, that make it so special to the rest of Skyline, isn't it? Only 1st gen "1957 ALSID-1", "1962 BLRA-3", second gen "1963-67 S50D, S548-3, S54B" and early 3rd gen "1968 C10M, 1968-70 GC10 and C10M" were not carried "GT-R" badges rather than "P" or "N" badges.
Btw, I don't think is a wise word to say "even thought most of you just worship the R34 and the GTR badge" as you might offend GT-R fans here. I believe you are GT-R fan too if not you wouldn't address your nick as Skyline Man  :2cents:

Rtuned - you do a lot of conversions and the like. The hardest aspect I find is scribing new panel lines straight. Do you have a trick to it, or do you just draw out the lines and scribe it freehand? I imagine practice and experience really helps, but I was just wondering if there was any way to make them follow the lines precisely?

I believe you heard before Hasegawa Tri-tool? Pretty good to scribe panel line. But I do not have a steady had as always ruin my bodykit, and get scolding from my friend  , so what I do is... I tape masking tape on it and draw a line, then carefully cut a line. *Here the trick, you know pencil had thickness, when you draw on anything, it show with a width, right? Cut the width of the line that with look like a vally "V shape", then use scribber or P-cutter to scrib the line. It is safer. Of course some might think the line will be too thick if using p-cutter. Don't worry, you still need to get primer, paint and gloss paint, it will flood into the line and make it look clean. :2cents:
