Just got this kit. It comes with Advan Model 5.. but i think it is a bit small.. so i am going to use the CE28N instead.... it looks like a good kit.

I do have the Tamiya R34.. but i don't have the SAS kit, so I can't compare them.. However, for a beginner like me. I think building this kit is easier? i guess.

the vents on the hood are opened ? I was sure they were molded.

The other set are CE28's so as they are 19" the Advan Model 5 look large as well, it would be nice to see the diameter in mm of the Advan Model 5's.

Can you measure the wheels like this so we can use this chart to compare with ours.
Thanks

The Advan/Yoks Model 5 should be scaled 18".

Just a little update.

I was going to find the light gunmetal color paint. I couldn't find it... so i just decide to paint it with Mr. Color Gray Silver Mica. I still need to get few coats of clear on it.

sorry for the lack of update.

I am kind of busy with school work and somewhat lost interest in building... I am just too tired to even think of it.

anyway... I clearcoated the body, polished and waxed.

the silver color is kind of unique (grey metallic mica) it has a small hue of gold in it.

o sweet ass man, that looks liek an awesome kit, iam gonna be following this thread, i myself has this r34 kit, http://www.hlj.com/scripts/hljpage.cgi?AOS03278
i also have the tamiya kit, superb kit
and as for the question on the tamiya r34 + SAS kit, id say that the tamiya + sas would be the way to go, better detail imo, tamiya is the best in detail, but i guess it would just cost more
