About how much faster is the Spec-V from a SER? because i have a ser and i smoked a is300 today. the times for the is300 is anywhere between 7.1-7.5. but the 0-60 for the spec-v is written (in some places) 7.5-7.8. wussup with this? the spec-v has to run lower sixties than that. Whats the 0-60 difference or quater between the specv and the ser? thanks

There's only a 10-15 hp difference,so I highly doubt the times will be way off....

:D :D Ya the SE-R and the Spec V are basiclly the same car, just that the Spec V has alittle more power and horsses. not to mention the Spec V also has alot more toys to play with for better driveing and handeling.
But speed wise they will be bout the same i suppose. still like to have the Spec V logo on my Sentra though. makes it sound faster by alot ;) :D :D :sun: :flash:

But does anyone know the exact time for the SER? I see a lot of quarter times for the spec-v, yet nothing on the SER. If anyone know please let me know.

I know that the spec-v has an LSD transmission, but, what else does the spec-v motor have that the se-r doesnt ?

I can tell you that the IS300 driver was either not racing or didn't know what the hell he was doing... N/O
This is how I compare the Spec V to the SeR. The SeR is made to be a family car that comes fully loaded and for people that want to have a little fun, every once in a while. The Spec is better for people who want to mod cars, want the more aggressive look, and better performance/handling. Mon-Fri it can even be used as a family car, as well, as long as the wife/kids don't mind a stiff ride.

my friend has a stock spec-v that ran a 14.7 with the only upgrade being stiffer motor mounts. im pretty sure the spec-v is a lot faster then the se-r, LSD + Sport Suspension + an extra .5 liter makes a huge difference

I gathered this from several sources. Here is what I've read and tested;
07+ SE-R: 0-60 in 7.4-7.6s. 1/4 Mile: 15.7s @89Mph.
07+ SpecV: 0-60 in 6.4-6.7s. 1/4 Mile: 14.9s @ 93Mph (I own and have tested this car and achieved a 6.7s 60 run and a 15.0s quarter mile.)
I can see the base SE-R beating (not necessarily smoking) the Is300 under the right circumstances.
