Your best Local Band

Hopefully this won't get spammed to much but here goes.

I'd like to make a shout out to the best local band in my area. New Haven CT. The band is Gargantua Soul. I don't have a clue why they haven't taken over air waves in the whole US yet? You can go to their site and get free MP3's with no BS.

Some fun facts: one of their most popular songs "Calling my America" was included on a CD called "Impact" which was released on Sept 11 2001. The front of the CD includes well.... just check it out. Hope you like the music.

Rifles at Recess used to be good, but they split.
My boys in Heroes were Human, and Man vs Tree! They are hardcore gods. And Across5Aprils. Dont feel like posting the links...but i strongly suggest you check these guys out...its well worth it. Ill post my bands link when we get re-back together. Rock till you die...or I will kill you now. biotches.

The Virginia Dare

a few guys i go to school with had this band, they broke up, two of them are making a new band with a guy from a band named Slit Wrist apology, which was also local, and has sine broken up

TVD was awesome, im hoping this new one will be better

i kno the killers are from las vegas... but i actually dont kno of any other bands that came from here

Alexisonfire is from my hometown of St.Catharines, Ontario, which is about an hour and a half north of where i currently live.

also notable locals are Moneen, from Burlington, Boys Night Out, from Burlington, Silverstein, from Hamilton...

that's all i can really remember right now, oddly...

only unsigned band on KNRK's playlist. KEXP in seattle has been playing them too.

I myself am going to try to get a song on the radio. I'll let you know when I'm done recording. It may just happen 'cause I've got a near world-class guitarist helping me out... :biggrin:

i used to love listenin to a band called Mondoz here in austin, tx...they were extremely talented.. my other favorite is the Flametrick Subs..they play awesome evil rockabilly

The Red Hot Valentines, REO SpeedWagon, MudVayne is from a town about an hour and 10 minutes from my hometown.

Alkaline Trio is from the adjacent city to mine, and the song 'Fuck You Aurora' would be referring to my town.

Suislide, I saw Moneen when they were up here in Chicago, they were a great show and great guys
