Hello can any one help me with this one.

when shifting from park to rev. or to drive . It jerks violently. Thought it might be the motor mounts and dog bones. but the motor mounts were replaces 2 years go. could it be they worn already or mech. didnt really change them.(car was in shop at time for other problems).

any help would be gratefull!

Thank you;
Gking

Your transmission is about to go completely. Wanna know, how I know? My car was doing the same thing for a few weeks, then boom, tranny was gone.

does your car have a tach? if so, what RPM are you idling at? If your car is idling high, it could be an IAC sticking or a bad EGR valve. Excessive high idle can cause the trans to jerk when putting the car in gear.

thank you for your help. the iac valve was replaced 3 weeks ago because of high idle (still idles around 1 g though) this pass weekend i cleaned the passage from egr into intake.( was cloged) but car still jerks. it didnt start doing it untill about a week after i changed the iac valve and tp sensor and gave the car a tune up. before all of this work it would idle around 1500 to 2000.
thank you

have you checked the vaccum lines to the vacumm modulator on the trans. My trans on my 94 grand am was acting the same way after i had some work done on it, truns out that they accidentally knocked off the vacuum line that went to the trans. It was shifting very hard and jerking really bad when i changed gears. I would bet that this is your problem or that the problem is at least vaccum related. If you look and see that the vaccum line is connected, with teh engine running just pop it off and make sure that there is suction on it if not then it may be clogged somewhere. If you have a 3.1 v6 then is should be a simmilar set up to my car. teh vaccum line goes into the front of the trans. into a round object that protrudes from the trans. there should be a "Y" shaped splitter at that point, thats where mine was popped off and i would guess yours is too, especially since you just started having problems after having work done to it, they must have hit it by accident and not even realized it. If you have trouble fingin it just follow the vaccum lines on the front of you motor until they lead to the trans. good luck
