intake question

I was jus doin random work on my 2000 accord v6 ex When i came across this thing on my intake:

What the hell is that and wat is it's purpose?...

also i was wondering if anybody got 6 individual throttle bodies for their J30 motor. If so it'll be great if you can give me some info on it please..

i believe thats called a j-pipe. had something that looked similar to the one from my car. to my knowledge i believe it acts like bypass valve for a cold air intake. catches sucked up water.

hope some other fellow accord owner can back me up on that.
