Hey Guys,

I am almost positive that not everyone has a Spraybooth when they do their spraying and I also know that not many people do it in their bedroom.

So where would the best place be to spray your model??

I spray in my garage in a lighted, non-vented spray booth. I line the booth with newspaper. It is a way to catch most of the overspray to keep it off of the floor.

How about some of you giving some pics of your spray area or has this already been done? If so then where?

I spray in my garage in a spray boot as well. Works great, although I have to keep the insidedoors closed as everything start to smell when I'm finished

I spray in the garage. I have a little area near the door - which I keep open when spraying because my old eyes need the extra light so I can see what the hell I am doing. One guy here says he sprays over his apartment stove because the vent sucks the fumes out. I bet his neighbors love him :swear:

I spray in the basement. Im really thinking about constructing a spray booth though because when I primer, the basement gets a fine layer of dust!

I spray in the common room of my dorm I put down newspaper an put a cheap fan so it sucked the air out and sprayed near the window. Granted the fan is now purple from the project I'm working on but oh well. Cat wont mind to much when I return it to her.

Daytime and weather permitting, in the back yard. Nighttime or in bad weather, in a vented spray booth in the garage.

In the garage with the door open

Spray and then put it in a tupperware container.

Garage in a spray boot me too (full home made, nothing fancy)

on winter, I need to spray in the house becose of the humidity and temp. a bit harder.. at least this year I will have an airbrush so it will be easyer to control the overspray

I'm from the same country than Vric so for me the winter's resuming in: no scale model at all ! My garage isn't heated yet (will be one day though) but for now, winter is a break. I don't want my little family (have a newborn) to be filled with vapor from glue or airbrush fumes (well, paint fumes). I think that a reason why I'm such a slow builder... at least one reason !!

When the spring return, I go in the garage, and bring the dream factory alive again, I spray in a open area far away (very far) from the real cars... I have plenty of space and dust don't seem to be a big problem for me.

Hobby Room!!!!

Now im jealous...

LOL I have one of those too...its the spare box room in my house, but when the sprogs come along I might have to move to the shed or something....

I spray outside unless its only a very small amount and i airbrush inside in my 'Hobby Room'

"Dream factory" - That's great, Martbee!

I spray just outside my apartment's front door whenever I use spray cans (primer, quickie builds). There's a little beer fridge by the door that I can set my spray work stand on between coats....

If I use my airbrush, I open the windows in my room and hang a peice of newspaper in front of my books on my desk, and spray it there. I can't wait to get out of college, so my models won't share deskspace with my computer homework.... though it does make it easier to look from reference to model.

I spray in my living room, which I think now can be called my modelling room. I got 3 coffee tables in there and my subbie cop car has a table and my evo has a table but both my enzos share the same table, i got paints and tape and random other stuff just filling my whole living room.

I always paint in my spray booth. Buy one or build your own. No dust. No overspray. No problems with wind.

I spay in my booth in my hobby room/library. Wife and I designed and built it in 1 day. We both enjoyed the time together and some of her ideas were VERY good...too bad my poor carpentry skills lacked...LOL.

We made it out of .75 inch MDF with locking casters, 2 shelves for paint storage (various sized holes for storing Tamiya/Testors/Alcad/MM paint jars on the first, cans on the second. A/C stores in the bottom with an exhaust fan in the middle of the top of the spray chamber, fluro lighting and a closabe clear lexan cover.

I can paint alcad and Tamiya lacquers and no one is the wiser ;-)>
