This is the new Fujimi kit which is pretty nice overall but as with their tradition it has inaccuracies. Body parts fitment is top notch which is big improvement when compared to another of their newer kits like the NSX-R.
The wheels are very nice but a common occurance seems to be that the rim edge gets buggered during shipment, a packing glitch I would say. All four of my rims were buggered.
The inaccuracies:
Suppose to be a window trim panel line on the body above the side windows, not there. I will mask that line when I spray the black around the side windows.
Not suppose to be window trim lines around the windshield, but they put them there. The window is a flush fit design.
To correct the windshield trim I simply sanded the inner A pillar edge toward the panel til it was completely removed. Then I filled the horizontal line above the windshield.
Before sanding and filling:
http://infinite1der.org/~dino/murcwindow1.jpg
After:
http://infinite1der.org/~dino/murcwindow2.jpg
You can see the window fits flush although the right A pillar is bowed slightly outward which will be corrected during assembly.
http://infinite1der.org/~dino/murcwindow3.jpg
There is a small sink mark on the rear deck requiring a smigge of putty.
http://infinite1der.org/~dino/murctrunk1.jpg
I also stretched the chassis about 3/16", though the real cars rear wheel is slightly mounted forward in the opening I moved mine back to my liking. Easy to do, one straight cut and add styrene strips.
http://infinite1der.org/~dino/murcchassis1.jpg
This is the car after moving the wheel back, and I do think I will go with the Volk CE28N's.

Helpful tips on those "inaccuracies", something Fujimi seems to excel at...
Good wheel choice, too. They look mean in bronze!

Mini update: Got the body painted with Modeler's pink surfacer because I mixed a custom rasberry red with House of Kolor paint.
Trying these wheels from the V35 Skyline kit, they look good on it too.

Primer looks smooth as a baby's rump.
The new wheels are OK, but to be honest, the original ones looked way better... For some reason the dark bronze looked sinister. On an already evil-looking car, no less... :evillol:

BTW, I like the volk wheels better with that paint.

The color is really hard to photograph, my cam wants to make it too red so I have to adjust the color, still isn't exactly correct though.
Still playing with wheel choices too.

This third set of wheels seems to me the best, as it's the closest to Lambo design's original spirit. The other ones don't look wide enough. And I'm originaly not a big fan of racing-like wheels on road cars...
Maybe the next set will be even better! :D

Got the interior finished, painted with custom mixes of Testors Acryl.
I used Replicas and Miniatures Wizards O's etched rings for the dash vent and speaker surrounds. I squeezed the ones for the vents into an oval to fit the shape of the vent.
The shifter is a straight pin and the shift gate is photo etched.

Since Fujimi didn't put all the detail into the head light housings I decided to make my own from alum. tubing.
I made mine a little longer than stock for effect and went around the tubing with 1000 grit paper to give it the 'brushed' finish.
I put MV lenses in each one of the tubes for the lights.
