My scare for the night.

I have a trpoical tank in which I have two main fish, my gorgeous turquise discus. I turned round to some splashing in my tank tonight and was amazed when I saw my male discus attempting to launch himself out of the tank repeatedly. Then he just, dropped. Sank to the bottom, seemingly unable to breathe, so I had to nurse the little guy in my hand, rubbing his body in a hope to provide some circulation, and every now and then rubbing a tocuh firmer near his gills, then he coughed up, and was breathing, so I held his tail gently til he could swim correctly. A rather scary, and odd, 15 minutes there. Fish CPR/ heimlich maneuvre..

Back a long long long time ago when I worked at wal-mart while in highschool I worked in the fish department. That would happen about once a month. It was really strange to see.
On a side note, I used to enjoy feeding the feeder fish to the Oscar fish and then have parents come alone with their kids and they'd be like "DADDY!!!! That fish is eating the other fish!!!" LoL

i think animals hate me. a long time ago in my early elementary school days i had a gerbil named max. he was living the life in a humungous see-thru plastic box with 1.5 foot high walls and all the little goodies and food inside. well one day all he did was make attempts to jump over the wall until he finally made it and he quickly ran under the fridge in the kitchen. so i lured him out with cheese and chased him around the living room and then i got ahold of him by the tail and he kept on trying to run and the next thing i knew was that i pulled his tail off....all that was left of his tail on his body was just some thin red muscle or something. i started screaming and crying and whatnot. then max ran out the open back door and never came back. very sad, i know. hahaha

I was playing baseball when I was like 5 and hit a ball and it came down and hit a chicken in the head and killed it. Good times...
