What up everyone. Heres my story. Well after two years of driving a 1999 civic EX coupe, automatic, i sold it for 8 grand, and bought a 1999 EBP si, for 7,500, in the local auto trader. This car rocks. A few months after i had got the EX i said damn i should have got the SI and now i finally got one. This car is alot more responsive, and never wants to quit! So far it has motegi 17" in. MR7 rims and a Mugen lip, Clarion speakers and a Sony EXPLOD deck. It had a Mugen grill but i took that one off and bought the stock grill at the honda dealership. Its all stock under the hood.......so far.

Im planning on buying a comptech icebox, Apexi WS2 exhaust, and Apexi headers. I will try to post pics soon. Does the WS2 offer more performance over the WS1 or is the tip just different? Also should i buy the GT headers or go with the ITR or CTR ones instead? Im looking to make as much power as i can NA, without sacrificing too much down low. Also I just finished reading How to Build Honda Horsepower. I highly recommend that book to everyone. Later.

Damn your so lucky. I would kill for an Si, let alone an EX of the 99-00. Oh and you should have kept the mugen grill on there. They look good but if I had one, I would get the gold emblem honda grill. They look killer on the electron blue si.

I can't believe you bought the Si for only 7500, and actually sold your EX for more?!

personally id go with an injen or aem intake(AEM V2 if you have the money), header-wise i would def. go with DC sports, exhaust is up to you apexi world sport is nice if you want a quiet exhaust.

I read that book too, and would go for the nice, quiet WS2, apexi header, and comptech icebox. Make sure the header has a collector size the same as exhaust pipe size. On your engine they should be 2.25".

IHE is not gonna do much unless you get your car chipped. The air/fuel ratio read by the computer when the extra air is brought in is not matched by an equal amount of fuel. IHE without a chip is worthless.

It's not a Chevy where you can just "chip" it for power..
And yes, an intake/header/exhaust combo will add power to a B16 because they are pretty responsive to more air flow, being a dohc vtec engine. With those exact parts he will see 10-15 horsepower at the wheels throughout the mid/upper portion of the powerband where airflow is a big factor. Maybe you should go read that book for dyno-proven power gains instead of making ignorant posts.
