I have a 96 Eddie Bauer Explorer and I have a really irritating problem with my radio:
1) About three weeks ago my subwoofer started buzzing really loud and couldn't handle any bass in my music so now i have to listen to my radio with my bass totally turned down.
2) At first my radio display would only flicker. Now whenever i turn the steering wheel to the right the radio shuts down on me. And I mean shuts down, all my radio stations are reset, my clock resets and my cd changer stops responding for a few minutes. This happens everytime i turn right.
These problems are really frustrating for an 18 year old.
Does anybody know how to fix this?
I would appreciate any help that you can provide me with.
Thanks

in regards to the radio seizing when you turn - well, as generic as the answer sounds - seems to be a loose wire. perhaps a part of the wire(s) itself is snagged onto a part of the steering column or join or something - who knows. But it defintely appears to be something on the column/join/shaft pulling or pushing the connection from the back of the radio. Just an idea.
