bad hesitation

okay my brother has a 96 ford f-150 4wd. with the 302 automatic. This truck has a performance cam in it also. As of recent the truck has been acting up when it is cold, when you step on the gas hard the truck falls on its face and boggs down. I had a similar problem with my thunderbird, the mass air sensor was messed up, i tried that on the truck with no luck. I recently gave it a tune up and scanned it to see what codes where in the computer it gave me an egr valve code, a p1000 code, and a code about a tcc cntrl error. i dont remember the numbers of them i ll get them and post them later. but i cleared them out sense i tuned it. but they will be back in a couple days. i guess somtimes it will start acting wierd like its running out of gas also. the fuel filter has been changed also on it. As of now we are clueless so any help would be great thanks
