Find the part number on the autometer or a vendor site, then buy it off ebay for 40-50 bucks. All of them light up.

I bought the Autometer sportcomp 0-35 psi guage over 4 years ago. I still havent maxed it out. :D Some of my friends on the other hand have bought a few gauges... I can see it easily at night. I have seen some evidence that the non-vac boost guages are either more accurate, or retain their accuracy longer, fyi.

SPW boost gauge from ebay. $50 shipped. 7 colors. violet when you feel like your in touch with your feminine side more than usual. Red when your about to rape a civic. white when you want to look professional. baby blu when your in riCe mode...the list goes on.

BTW, what the largest size boost gauges come in?

JoeWagon

probably 60mm unless you count the 5 inch tachs. regula r is 52mm, which is what gauge pods come in so you'll have to bore it out.

OR for rednecks, 52mm is 2 and 1/16th, and 60mm is roughly comparable to 2 and 5/8ths (60mm is a little smaller).

its cool to see a larger sized needle sweep a greater area on a larger gauge face...especially on measuring boost. imo. other snail-paced stuff like volt, air/fuel, oil pressure etc can be kept small.

Not sure if these are good guys but check out www.theneonedge.com they light up seven different colors and they are only 29.99, they also have 3 pod pillar for 29.99 there also.

YEa i was thinking about getting a boost gauge from dsmtuners.com. but im a little hesitant because i dont want someone to get the check and never give me the product...like theres this 400 evo exhaust and i wanna buy it, but im worried ill get fucked...are people pretty trustworthy on that site?

There are all kinds of poeple on all kinds of sites. Doesnt matter where you find the ad, the question is do you trust the guy you are ordering from. The best you can do is talk to the guy and see if you trust him. I try to only deal with people that I know have been on the forums for a long time and arent assclowns.

I went with greddy for the boost gauge, although I prob will go with someone else for the rest of my guages. Its not that greddy is not good, but its so damn pricey!

autometer uses a hard line out of thier boost guage right? is it hard to plumb threw the dash and into the engine bay?

i'm getting a 60mm GReddy EGT in silver. next will be the Boost and Oil Press to match... bigger gauges just mean quicker reference.. also peak/hold is pretty cool too...

real_madridcf

ya peak/hold is pretty tight, but its so expensive. Think about it 3-4 gauges for $150+ a piece. Maybe its just me but thats alot. Ofcourse i am talking about companies like greddy. But i would buy it if i had the money :icon16: .
