hey all
my 93 p71's fan lately sometimes stays on at all speeds. the clutch is goin bad i guess. but i was lookin and flex fans. found one at summit that said it was for cars with serpitine belts (says they spin oposite) for 41.00. then a 1 or 2 inch spacer for 12.00. would this be a better way to go? a couple buddies told me it puts less stress on the pump.

The engine fan on your car is temperature sensative. When the air hitting the fan drive is warm enough, it applies torque to the fan blades until the air reaching it is cool again.

I would NEVER suggest a flex fan over a good viscous fan clutch like you have.

I agree, I tried a flexfan on my Corvette a few years ago, ended up going back to the clutch fan set up.
