E-brake removal

I just want to know if anyone has removed their stock ebrake handle and replaced it with an aftermarket one. I just want to know if its an easy process. I know the center console has to be removed which is simple but other than that any probs with the aftermarket lever? Also how does the aftermarket boot stay in place? plan on puttin in a momo boot but don't know exactly how it attaches. Any feedback will be appreciated!! thanks
