About A 3.8L Fuel Problem...

Ok while i go to accerlate from merging it starts to lightly jump around. So does that mean that its a fuel problem??? And if so would it more likely be the Fuel Filter or Pump??

What year and how many miles? What do you mean "jumps around"? Are the RPM jumping up or are they dropping?

95K miles (rounded) and when I go to accelerate it starts actin like it needs fuel. The RPM gauge does not really move but up but the MPH gauge jumps. Its a little hard to explain. sry if you get confused
