Alright, so, this forum is new, w00t. G-body drivers, unite!

Anyway, has anyone ever heard of an interior leak on a '93 tona? Rainwater comes in and drips on the right back seat, and from what I can tell, it's dripping through the coat hanger thingie's screw hole. :sly: How would I even go about determining where the leak is on the outside?

I'm assuming it's bad when I smell motor oil after romping on the accelerator to merge on to the freeway. What would cause that? I would hate to think that oil is squirting all over my engine compartment and finding its way into the vacuum system... :eek7: I have the ES model with the 3.0L V6.

And why does my recirc function refuse to work? I checked the vacuum hoses near the throttle body and air box and they were fine. What might be some other problem areas?

One last thing. How would you all recommend reinforcing the stupid door bar things that are practically falling off the door panels? (Not the latch to open the door, but the things you pull when closing it from the inside.)

Thanks in advance.

Check your PCV system for the oil problem,

As for the recirc, find the vac lines inside to make sure none are rotted.

The water leak sounds like the hatch seal, it's getting above your headliner and coming down....

Explain about the door panels a bit more i think know what your talkin about but need a better description about where they are fallin off - or ripped.....

Okay, the indentation in the vinyl that you pull on to close the door from the inside is ripping and coming off the driver's side door, and the bottom of the handle on the passenger's side has come off completely, but the top is still attached. Screws don't work because the area beneath the moldings and flimsy plywood is empty space.

The leak turned out to be a rubber plug under the top corner of the hatch. Smeared some plumber's goop around it and stuck it back in, hasn't leaked since. The oil smell has mysteriously gone away.

However, I still can't figure out the recirc thing. Exactly where should I look? As I said, I've checked all the hoses around the throttle body and air box.
