Hey i gatta couple questions about this, I plan on dropping a CRV block with a b16A3 head in my 91 civic hatchback. I was wondering if that HA sprot mouts for B series count for evrey single B series engine, and also if the milage differences from the head and the block would clash, such as if the head had about 20,000 miles on it and the block had about 60,000 miles on it, would it clash?

mounts should be the same for all b-series (except that old ass prelude one but that doesn't matter). You shouldn't have any problems with mileage difference

why are you using a a3 head? Isnt that obd1 or maybe 2? You're going to have to convert over. Can't you use a obdO b16 head instead?

Maybe he wants obd1? I dont think alot of ppl like goin obd2. I would rather do obd1 than non obd.

Well for me...the electrical and sensors are easier to get than non obd. When i had my b16a, finding a good distributor is a bitch.

Oh and obd2...not alot you can do with tuning.

well i read sumware the A3 would produce more power or sumthin, or its "better", but if theres no difference then ill go with the b16a head, but i thought the 97' crv motor was like odb1 or 2.

Thats not true. Theres actually no difference in all b16s. The sir2 has a lil higher compression and more aggressive cams. The b16a head flows the best from what i've been searchin. Anyways if your crv motor is from a 97 then its obd2. Usually ppl convert it to obd1 because its easier to tune and theres more parts for them like engine management.

OBD stands for On Board Diagnostics. Its for emissions. Search the net and they'll have useful infos.

yeah obd1 is the best, obd0 doesnt offer much, and obd2 is really restrictive.
